Jean-Christophe Barbe studied at the University of Bordeaux and did his thesis on noble rot before taking charge of Château Laville and Delmond. “Delmond” is the name of Jean-Christophe’s grandfather, who first bought the property.
For this Sauternes, he uses the younger vines from cooler sites, creating a fresher style of Sauternes.
