We are back. A glorious summer break after July’s summer party on the terrace. And we are more than excited for the upcoming 12 months of events here at Trivet.
We are delighted to welcome Eric Zwiebel MS, starring alongside Isa Bal MS and Head Sommelier Sofia Crepaz, for our first event of the new season.
We will travel to one of the most historic, but least understood, wine region of France - Alsace. Producing 20% of French white wine and the fastest-growing Cremant appellation. A place of stunning natural beauty and too many picturesque villages to count. Of flammenkeuche. Of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Klevener and more.
A place of many seeming contradictions: the most northerly wine region of France, but also one of the sunniest and driest. It’s French, but separated from the rest of the country, physically and culturally by the Vosges Mountains. It’s French, but it’s also kind of German. Except the names are neither entirely French or German. Even the bottles used are German. And yet, the region has carved out a unique identity for many of its varieties. Some of the richest and yet most mineral expressions of Riesling. Some of the weightiest and ageworthy Gewürztraminer.
Join Eric, Isa and Sofia on the 8th of September 2025 from 19:00 for a deep-dive into the many grapes, wines and styles of Alsace, paired expertly with a dinner of some Alsatian classics prepared by Head Chef Lukas Juhaniak. Most of all, join us for a convivial evening exploring food and wine in the Mustard Room.
